How to use the layout
Enter the usable sheet dimensions, not just the label on the panel. Add a realistic saw kerf. If face grain or pattern direction matters, disable rotation. The visual layout gives you a starting arrangement; before cutting, add any edge-trim margin your stock requires and confirm that every cut is feasible with your saw and workflow.
Why utilization is not the same as usable yield
The percentage compares total part area with total sheet area. It does not deduct offcuts that may be too narrow to reuse, damaged areas, factory-edge trimming, or sequence constraints. Keep valuable offcuts and treat the percentage as a planning metric.
