Method

Useful estimates, transparent assumptions

WUDIM separates standardized dimensions from natural-material estimates. Softwood size references use the current U.S. Department of Commerce PS 20-25 standard administered by NIST. Wood-weight and movement tools use published USDA Forest Products Laboratory properties as planning inputs. Density, moisture, manufacturing and species variation mean any calculated weight or movement remains an estimate.
