Why sheet weight varies
Panel construction, wood species, resin content, pressing density and moisture all affect weight. WUDIM uses representative planning densities so you can estimate whether a stack is a one-person lift, what a project may weigh, or how much material will go into a vehicle. A manufacturer’s published panel mass is always the better source when available.
Do not assume nominal thickness is exact
Panel products can be sold under performance standards and trade thicknesses that differ from a simple nominal label. Measure critical stock and consult the panel stamp or product sheet before machining tight joints.
